Current Turkey: Argumentation with head cloth prohibition posed on the head
European Union delegate places argumentation to the head cloth on the head
(openPR) - EUROPEAN UNION DELEGATE PLACES ARGUMENTATION TO the HEAD CLOTH PROHIBITION ON the HEAD
In on Saturday this week the appearing expenditure of current Turkey round-look (ATR) argues the co-editor Jürgen P. foot with a report, which the social-democratic European delegate of Turkish origin, Emine Bozkurt submitted recently to the European Union parliament. It refers thereby to an article which „the Islamic portal published “few days ago.
Foot: “A contribution worth reading, whereby the evaluation of contents precipitates with Muslims probably completely different one, as with critical observers and journalists with European thinking structures. According to the report it would have created the European Union delegate Emine Bozkurt, to place the whole past argumentation, which stands with the head cloth prohibition in Turkey in the connection, on the head.”
IMPROVEMENT OF THE WOMEN'S RIGHTS - HOWEVER: SEX DISCRIMINATION OF HEAD-CLOTH-BASIC WOMEN
The report with the title, written by Bozkurt, „the role of the women in the social, economic and political life of Turkey “recognizes an improvement of the women's rights in Turkey, it says however at the same time that the Turkish women did not profit on the average yet in its entirety from the law changes.
But then the crucial turn comes. In the report Bozkurt represents the view that head-cloth-basic women are exposed in the working sphere to sex discrimination and are indirect also the head cloth prohibition at Turkish universities a discrimination. Therefore the Turkish government is requested to introduce investigations because of the discrimination of the head-cloth-basic women.
The fact that in earlier reports of the European delegates Bozkurt had never been the head cloth a topic, justifies the author as follows. In their the past European parliament submitted reports the head cloth prohibition is to the woman right reports was not taken up, „because it it as a binnenländische affair “(a Turkey internal affair, which ATR talking., is meant) regarded.
Bozkurt: “The more I with Turkish Nichtregierungsorganisationen led discussions, the more I complaints because of the discrimination of the women on the occasion of the head cloth prohibition received. On the basis the immense sensitivity of the topic I felt requested to require of the Turkish government a detailed investigation. … The equalization of the sexes is a fundamental scope of responsibility of the European union.”
DO PROTECTIONS OF INTERESTS HAVE THE HAND IN THE PLAY
Foot to the report: “With all the argumentation the suspicion forces itself upon that protections of interests (those of the head cloth) succeeded obviously to stretch an European delegate before their trucks. After it did not create the Turkish government party AKP - as promised before the choice - the head cloth prohibition in Turkey to abolish and to all abundance also still the European Court of Justice the head cloth opponents the backs strengthened and the head cloth proponents a refusal gave.”
And schmunzelnd foot adds: By the way, which concerns the equalization of the sexes. Me me no case is well-known that a man in Turkey wanted to wear a head cloth, let alone but a court switched on.
